> The "Perfect" Show
Posted by pmcnamara - 07-2-09 20:06 - 8 comments
I'm curious to hear what folks would consider the "perfect" show in their eyes.

Which classes would they want to see run.. what should the payout be like, how many laps ?

What would it take to get you to run on a THU someplace ?

What would it take to get you to skip a night at your home track ??

What is the maximum distance you'd travel.

What is the latest you'd want to see the show end.

How much would you pay for a pit pass to this show ? How much would you set the front gate at ?

Try to keep it real... $1000 to start, $50,000 to win, $10 pit passes and $5 grand stand isn't hardly worth typing is it ?? Same for "no such thing as the perfect show", get that, but the thread had to be titled something.

What I'm trying to understand is where the cost/reward points are that move people.. and is there something else which motivates you more then cost/reward ???

> MTS 2009 Points standings review
Posted by '00' Joe - 07-1-09 14:14 - 0 comments
Leading the MTS Sprint Series points for the 2009 season is the 2007 Champion Steve Irwin. Steve’s two wins this year has set the bar high for the rest of the competitors this year.

Second and third place is occupied by two youngsters from Ohio, Landon Simon sits second in points with Mike Berkin a close third. Keith Love, recently out of retirement is having a great year and is fourth in points. The MTS 2008 and defending champion Mike Galadja is fifth. Another Ohio kid, Brent Smith is running strong and sits sixth. Veteran driver Mark Irwin has a slim margin of our Canadian friend Jon Watson from Ontario. The Rookie points battle is real close with Nick Rogers holding a 15 point lead over Roger Hunyady. Jim Payne is tied with hunyady for 10th place in points.

The MTS sprints next points race will be at the Merritt Speedway July 25th. Also on July 18th the sprints will run a non point exhibition at the Owosso speedway.
